Macaé Airport is one of the airports of Zurich Airport Brasil. It is recognized as a reference in the country in the offshore sector, serving hundreds of maritime units in the Campos Basin. The airport has a complete solution for processing passengers and cargo for companies in the field:

  • Inspection of passengers and luggage, both on boarding and alighting, ensuring compliance with the safety requirements demanded by the industry;
  • Modern and equipped lounges for meetings and mini events;
  • 4 briefing rooms equipped with equipment and comfortable accommodation for passengers;
  • Passenger transportation on the way from the passenger terminal to the aircraft and vice versa.

The city of Macaé

Located in Rio de Janeiro, it has a special vocation for the oil, gas and energy sector, with good installed capacity and infrastructure.

According to the ranking of competitiveness of the municipalities, Macaé has the second highest level of average income from work, highlighted by the high consumption potential. And it is the second city of Rio de Janeiro, behind only the Capital, in tourism infrastructure, such as hotels and restaurants.

Among the national economies, Rio de Janeiro is the 2nd richest in the country and the 4th in terms of per capita income and national HDI. The state stands out for its human capital, as the 2nd most developed in Brazil.

The airport complex belongs to the group of airports managed by Zurich Airport Brasil, which has in its DNA a differentiated vision of airport infrastructure, based on the concept of being more than airports, also positioning itself as places for shopping, sightseeing, leisure and with high potential for sustainable real estate development. All administration and projects, however, maintain as a premise the appreciation of the specificities and culture of the places where the airports are located.

In addition to the Zurich airport, the company concentrates its investments in Latin America, where it operates in the airports of Bogotá, Curaçao, Florianópolis, Vitória, Macaé, Belo Horizonte and in the airports of Iquique and Antofagasta, in Chile. In Belo Horizonte, the Swiss group has been operating the Tancredo Neves International Airport with the CCR and Infraero groups since 2014. In 2019, the company also won the concession to build and operate the second airport in New Delhi, India.
